Shoulda bought a Zune…

I’ve been missing the Colbert Report lately but I saw this on Engadget… funny stuff.

“I knew I should have gotten a Zune! They can’t kill me… or do anything else.”

WWDC Hopes and Dreams…

While everyone else is all hyped up about the new iPhone all sorts of new features, or the latest Leopard (Snow) with no new features… I simply want one thing from Steve… a black Mighty Mouse to match my MacBook. Is that to much to ask from the company thats supposed to pay attention to detail? If you care enough to tell me that its “designed in California”… at least give me a wireless mouse to match! I’ll let the fact that my power cord shouldn’t be white either slide for now…

Eve bots… coming to an Apple store near you

Apple and Eve

“…don’t be surprised to see Eve bots working the counters this summer at an Apple Store near you.”

New iPhone ads

Daring Fireball on an article about the new iPhone ads.

I love how they continue to advertise the iPhone simply by showing how it actually works. You almost never see any product, especially in consumer electronics, advertised this way.

Great point! Advertising is easy when your product sells itself! I’ve had my iPhone a whopping 2 weeks and I can’t imagine being without it already!

Cool Little App

I just read about this in a Shaun Inman post regarding Mail.app troubles and had to check it out. I love it!

Mail Unread Menu is a simple menu bar application which can provide you with a quick and easy way to see how many unread email messages are in Apple’s Mail.

Tore Down…

So, today I go to pack my PowerBook up and head to the office and discover that the power adaptor doesn’t want to come out. I’ve had some issues with the adaptor lately, issues involving extreme heat and sparks. I was beginning to wonder if I should’ve spent the extra money and just ordered an Apple power adaptor, this morning there was no doubt. The tip of the plug had broken off and was stuck inside the laptop. I was unable to charge the battery, and unable to remove the broken piece.

“I can finally get a new MacBook!!!” I yelled.

“Not so fast… ” said my wallet.

PowerBook G4 - tore apart

I began to search Google for any other poor souls stuck with the same dilemma as myself. I tried every thing I could find. Paperclip, thumb tacks, super glue. It was no use. I finally decided to tear the whole thing down and see if I could get at the piece then. Long story short, I managed to disassemble the PowerBook, use a small aluminum nail and remove the stuck piece. Things went back together fairly easy and I only had 2 extra screws left… *shrug*

The source of all my problems…

Wow.

iTunes Store Tops Three Billion Songs

Music fans have now downloaded and purchased more than three billion songs from the iTunes Store, and “we’d like to thank all of our customers who have contributed to this incredible milestone,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. The world’s most popular online music, TV, and movie store, iTunes features a catalog of more than five million songs, 550 TV shows, and 500 movies, and it recently surpassed both Amazon and Target to become the third largest music retailer in the US.

iPhone, Wiimote, or newborn baby…

I had to laugh at this, even though my days of the gentle-lay-down have long since passed.

iPhone, Wiimote, or newborn baby: which has the best built-in accelerometer?
