GIZMODO gives us the lowdown… Palm Pre vs. iPhone vs. G1

This makes my iPhone…

…feel old. I wonder how well it works with the OS X?

Palm, which essentially invented the smartphone category, is facing sales that have plunged and Apple’s iPhone and Research in Motion’s BlackBerry have stolen market share. At the Consumer Electronics Show Thursday, Palm unveiled the Pre, featuring a new operating system that looks pretty sweet!

iTunes PLUS!?!? Where is it!?

Why are there still CDs on iTunes using DRM!?!? C’MON LABELS!!!!

Just recently I was forced to abandon my usual “New Music Tuesday” shopping spree on iTunes and jump over to AmazonMP3 to pick up the new Marc Broussard CD and the new Jon McLaughlin CD. (I love the new song… “Beating My Heart”. Check out the video here) I know I may have missed out on a couple of exclusive tracks from iTunes, but there’s no reason to not get a regular old MP3 anymore.

Today’s Reading…

DailyLit delivers literature in installments, via RSS. I’m gonna give it a try, since I spend at least an hour a day staring a Google Reader anyway…

The Idea?

We got the idea for DailyLit after the New York Times serialized a few classic works in special supplements a few summers ago. We wound up reading books that we had always meant to simply by virtue of making them part of our daily routine of reading the newspaper. The only thing we do more consistenly than read the paper is read email. Bingo! We put together a first version and began reading “War of the Worlds” and “Pride and Prejudice”. We showed it to friends, added more books and features at their request, and presto, DailyLit was born.

I absolutely love my iPhone/iPod… but, I have to say the UI on the iriver’s 3.3-inch Spinn media player with AMOLED display looks pretty sweet. Check out the video here.
