It’s hard for me to watch Paris Hilton be the one to say this… but is it so hard to believe that maybe both sides have some decent ideas? Is it that far fetched to think we can work together to solve some of these problems? I still say we vote on a President without a running mate and the loser gets the VP gig. That’s just my opinion, I may be wrong, plus there’s not any rich people or various lucrative businesses knocking on my door to give me piles of cash either…

The Idea?

We got the idea for DailyLit after the New York Times serialized a few classic works in special supplements a few summers ago. We wound up reading books that we had always meant to simply by virtue of making them part of our daily routine of reading the newspaper. The only thing we do more consistenly than read the paper is read email. Bingo! We put together a first version and began reading “War of the Worlds” and “Pride and Prejudice”. We showed it to friends, added more books and features at their request, and presto, DailyLit was born.

According to the press release, “The album oozes with over-the-top illustrations, charging out of the gate with funky rhythms, percolating club grooves, undeniably infectious hooks and instantaneous sing-a-longs. Imagine an inventive evolution of the band’s eye-opening ‘Business Up Front, Party In The Back‘ blended with Prince getting down at a Daft Punk concert where Michael Jackson busts out the moonwalk in the center of the dance floor.”

Great interview with WALL•E writer - director Andrew Stanton.

Stanton: They tell you that as a storyteller, it’s vital to just stick with and be honest with your values system. The last thing I want to do is go to a movie and feel like I’m being preached to or being told how to be, and I think it’s more honest—and you’re going to have more effect—to be truthful with the values of your characters, working off of your own values. That was the case with WALL•E. The greatest commandment is to love one another, and to me, that’s the ultimate purpose of living. So that was the perfect goal for the loneliest robot on earth, to learn the greatest commandment, to learn to love.

I cannot wait to see this movie!
